Educational Resources on Compost

Atlas Organics believes that education is critically important in making a impact on the environment. Our mission is sustainability and being part of something much bigger than ourselves. We want to help you to do the same. Here you will find information on composting, how to use compost, how you can contribute to the composting efforts in your community, and much more.

What is Compost?

Compost is the product manufactured through the controlled aerobic, biological decomposition of biodegradable materials. It has undergone mesophilic and thermophilic temperatures, which significantly reduces the viability of pathogens and weed seeds, and stabilizes the carbon, such that it is beneficial to plant growth.
